Classic Safaris are a custom designed safari itinerary for your group only, in which carefully selected boutique camps and lodges from our Classic Collection are woven together to create an all-embracing experience. Each destination has a unique style and character, offering exclusivity and personalised attention. Off the beaten track, they are located on expansive, private conservation areas or in prime spots in game parks and reserves throughout East Africa.

Whilst designing your personalised itinerary we recommend a minimum of 3 nights at most destinations – on a two week safari this will give you the opportunity to experience 4-5 classic properties. Because of the vast distances between most destinations, the fastest and most comfortable way to travel is on scheduled or charter flights. Some destinations are close enough together that driving is possible and we will advise you when this is most appropriate.

Most ‘Classic Collection ’ properties are hosted and have resident guides who know their areas well. It is also possible to have a professional safari guide accompany you for part or the entire trip.

Customising your safari gives you the freedom of choice but does not necessarily mean a more expensive safari than pre packaged itineraries as we will always consider your interests, preferences and personal travel budget
