Alex was born and raised in Tanzania on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater, in a small town called Karatu, which is the hub for tourists entering the Crater.
He had the opportunity to attend college in Kenya, where he completed his guiding course and graduated top of his class. Upon his return to Tanzania, he continued to pursue his passion for wildlife.
Over the years he has worked with several companies in Kenya and Tanzania and achieved the position of Head Guide, running Guides Training and at the same time managing one of the most prestigious camps in Tanzania.
Alex’s friendly personality has made him a favourite amongst families with children. He also enjoys photograhy and sharing this knowledge with his guests.
His passion for wildlife and conservation led him to undertake a pilots course in South Africa, where he attained his Private Pilot License to help combat poaching and protect wildlife corridors. When Alex is not guiding, he lives in Arusha with his Wife and two children.
