Historically the phrase ‘Big Five’ was coined by African hunters and refers to the five most difficult and dangerous animals to hunt on foot. Nowadays, the term often refers to some of Africa’s most popular wildlife – lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros.

Due to the diversity and random nature of wildlife in their natural habitats, we can’t guarantee that you will see every species of wildlife on the Big Five list. But whether in Tanzania or Kenya, ultilising our expert naturalists and specialists knowledge of wildlife and their habitats you will have a great opportunity to be in environments that will allow fabulous wildlife sightings.
